Family Lesley Pottle trained as a dancer with the Royal Ballet School and was just about to join the Company when she had a horrendous knee injury, resulting in poorly administered surgery which effectively finished her budding and most promising career. She danced for a short while with Ballet de Wallonie in Belgium and then became an Air Hostess with British Caledonian for a couple of years. She missed the dancing so much and came back into the business as a hoofer in Pantomime at the Thorndike Theatre in Leatherhead in 1974. We met at the Christmas Party that year and that was that - I was totally smitten - and we married in 1977.
We have four children - Belinda, Hanneli, Barnaby and Dominic - and three grandchildren, Annabel and Oliver and Leah Elizabeth who are all the apples of our eyes.
Hobbies & Interests Gardening, DIY & crafts, computing, travelling, Disney and golf - here's a photo of one of my happiest (and funniest) golfing memories
